My eyes fluttered open as I heard my rooster crowing out in the barnyard. As he called everyone awake, I slipped into some comfortable clothing as the sun was shining and the temperature was perfect for enjoying a day outside. I grabbed my cup of coffee and walked out to the chicken coup, making sure they had fresh water and food.
